- According to the 1/6/87 Boston Globe, the 1/5 Mich-Pur game was the 1000th college basketball telecast on ESPN.
- Vitale was originally scheduled for the 1/22 game in Greensboro, but had snow-related travel issues.
- On 3/8, ESPN carried the Raycom telecast of the ACC final on tape delay. NBC produced a separate telecast which aired live in non-ACC markets.

Regional TV
Hi all...somewhat of a newcomer here. In the spirit of the awesome work by Jeff79 and others on college basketball TV schedules, I've been starting to compile schedules from regional sports networks, looking first at networks like Home Team Sports or the old SportsChannels that were typically available on the old big satellite dishes. I was fortunate enough to grow up with a big dish in the late 80s and always enjoyed the buffet of options then, so it's been fun looking back at just how many games were available at that time.
I'm going to start from the year 1986-87 for my own personal reasons and have been initially working up to about 1991-92. Will extend that back further/more recent as these go.
These will be continually updated with more networks (MSG, Prime Ticket, many SportsChannels, etc.) and years working through, but thought would share as working through them.
At this point I haven't put an emphasis on adding announcers, for now I just hope to list the games. I think some might find it amazing just how many different college basketball games were on TV even some 30 years ago. But I will add announcers too as I go. *Update: Start times are now all listed as Eastern
I've also added women's games as I've come across them, and included taped or tape delay showings on their first run if they were not shown live.
Any help on announcers or games listed is certainly appreciated
