- For this season, NBC joined forces with TVS on a weekly package. On Saturdays, NBC televised a doubleheader consisting of one timeslot with many regional games and one timeslot with a national game (although some NBC affiliates didn't carry these "national" games). NBC also carried Sunday games on 1/25 and 3/7.
- NBC used Enberg and Packer on the national games.
- Yes, the 11/29 game was a live telecast (a 10:30 pm local start in St Louis).

* any help on missing announcers appreciated
- A note on the odd announcer pairings for Final Four weekend: This was the awkward transistion period from Gowdy to Enberg. Gowdy had a clause in his contract to do the NCAA championship game. But Enberg was the #1 NBC college BB pxp voice during the regular season. So NBC decided to put each of them on one national semifinal along with Packer. Then for the title game, they put both pxp voices together and relegated Packer to the studio (where he worked with Lee Leonard and Bryant Gumbel).
