As originally written by Tim Brulia:

The 1948 series was available to all commercial television stations, regardless of network affiliation. As there was no connection yet to link the midwest with the east coast, there were actually two regional networks for this series. Games played at Braves Field were televised by channels in Boston, New Haven, New York, Schenectady, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington and Richmond. Games played at Cleveland Municipal Stadium were televised by channels in Buffalo, Cleveland, Toledo, Chicago, St. Louis and Milwaukee. DuMont facilities were used for the telecasts.
