1975-76 NBA Season

In 1975-76, the Kansas City-Omaha Kings dispensed with their second city and moved into Kemper Arena full-time. The Rockets vacated 10,000-seat Hofheinz Pavilion at the University of Houston in favor of the brand-new, 15,676-seat Summit. After playing a season in Municipal Auditorium, the Jazz left for the Louisiana Superdome, where they more than doubled their attendance to 12,519 per game.
CBS aired a handful of regional games this season, maxing out at three per time slot -- nothing compared to what they did the next few seasons.
