1966-67 NBA Season
As originally posted by Tony Miller:
For 1966-1967, the expansion bug bit the NBA again. The Chicago Bulls began playing in the International Amphitheatre: they joined the Western Division, moving Baltimore to the East and restoring geographic order to the divisions. Since the Amphitheatre was 6.5 miles from Indiana, the Bulls usurped the title of “Indiana’s Closest NBA Neighbor” from the Royals – and the Bulls’ ten-year run with that honor would be the longest of any team not located in the Hoosier state.
Across the continent, the Warriors moved again, abandoning the USF/Civic Auditorium split for the Cow Palace in Daly City. And the playoffs expanded from six teams to eight, so the fourth-place Bulls made the playoffs at 33-48. They got swept.
