1996 MLS season
As originally written by Tony Miller:
A new league forms. Ten teams, two divisions of five, four of which made the playoffs.
Home team listed first.
From the St. Louis Post-Dispatch on April 6: "Ty Keough will serve as analyst for most of the games. But when Keough does play-by-play, Bill McDermott will join him and handle analysis." Based on this, if we have confirmed that Keough was doing play-by-play, I've put McDermott in the color slot. If a game is listed "Ty Keough, partner unknown," it means we don't know which role Keough filled. I'm also not ruling out the possibility of a Schoen/McDermott booth.

Because soccer rose to prominence in the United States more gradually than the four major sports, many of these lists have some level of incompleteness. Also, because soccer has a variety of cup and national-team competitions that many American sports do not have, it is not feasible to include every league in this template. The full soccer index can be found here.
