Maintained by Tony Miller:

The 2022 Wimbledon Championships run from June 27 to July 10 in southwest London at the All England Lawn Tennis Club.

ESPN holds the U.S. TV rights, which they have had since 2003 in some form and have held exclusively since 2012. The bulk of the linear coverage airs on ESPN and ESPN2. ABC has three-hour live shows on the middle weekend, marking its first live coverage of the event, along with afternoon re-airs of the finals. All of the matches are available on ESPN3 or ESPN+.

The tournament is held over 18 courts. In addition to the 15,000-seat Centre Court, which celebrates its 100th anniversary with a ceremony on the middle Sunday, there are 17 other courts, which are creatively numbered from 1-18 except for 13. No. 1 Court seats 11,500; No. 2 Court seats 4,000 and No. 3 Court seats 2,000. Courts 12 and 18 are also show courts, although these are accessible with grounds passes while the stadiums require their own tickets. The two main stadiums have roofs, which include lights that allow play to continue up to a curfew of 11 p.m. local (6 p.m. EDT). For the record, the courts are surfaced with rye grass.

In a break with tradition, play is scheduled on the middle Sunday (July 3), which allows the fourth round to be split across two days rather than played entirely on Monday. This is the first year with scheduled play on that day, though it has been used before when rain substantially hampers the first week. This also leads to a rescheduling of the singles quarterfinals, which are now split across Tuesday and Wednesday; previously, all four women's matches were Tuesday and all four men's matches were Wednesday.

The tournament is played without ATP or WTA ranking points, which are withheld by the tours after Russian and Belarussian players were banned from entering due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Daniil Medvedev, the men's world no. 1, is one of the players affected by that ban; since world no. 2 Alexander Zverev is still out after an ankle injury suffered earlier in the year, Novak Djokovic is the men's top seed. Iga Swiatek carries the mantle of the top women's player into the tournament, both as the top-ranked player and the no. 1 seed.

Draws include men's and women's singles, men's and women's doubles, mixed doubles, junior boys and girls singles and doubles, wheelchair singles and doubles, and several legends events. The legends competitions return for the first time since 2018 (pre-pandemic) while the under-14 boys and girls singles draws are new. The mixed doubles tournament is shaved back from 48 teams, where it had been since 2004, to 32 teams and now finishes on Thursday after the women's singles semifinals.

Conventions

The color-coded schedule graphics below are based on an average set length of 40 minutes; a best-of-three match is blocked at an hour and 40 minutes while a best-of-five match is 2:45, based on the likelihood of multiple sets if each set is a coin flip. Suspended matches are prorated based on the score when they are stopped.

Each match's position on the draw is indicated by a number in double square brackets. Each pair of matches with the same number meets in the next round; these numbers start with 1 at the top of the draw and proceed down the list. For example, there are 32 second-round matches, so the last pair of first-round matches is marked with 32.

In the text listing of commentators, each match is numbered sequentially when it first appears. Brief updates on other matches are indented. Angle brackets indicate split-screen coverage.
