2022 USFL Season

On Jan. 25, the reboot of the United States Football League finalized its plans to stage all games of the 2022 season in Birmingham, AL - either at Protective Stadium ((P) in the listings to follow) or at Legion Field (L). However, due to a scheduling conflict with the World Games, all playoff games will now be held at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, OH (C).
Eight teams (Birmingham Stallions, Houston Gamblers, New Orleans Breakers, Tampa Bay Bandits, Michigan Panthers, New Jersey Generals, Philadelphia Stars, Pittsburgh Maulers) played 10 games each. The top four teams qualified for the playoffs, and the semifinal winners play for the championship.
On Mar. 7, the USFL revealed the week-by-week schedule of games for the entire season - except for the Apr. 16 opener which had been announced on Jan. 25 - and all timeslots. After the first two weeks, all other games were assigned to time slots 12 days in advance of each week. All games on NBC also streamed on Peacock, in addition to the five exclusives.

This is the first pro football game to be scheduled to be shown on multiple broadcast networks since Super Bowl I. The 2007 regular-season game between the Patriots and Giants aired on CBS and NBC as well as NFL Network, but that was an arrangement made just days before.
