The Alliance of American Football was one of two planned "off-season" pro football leagues to be established in the near future.  (The new XFL, to launch in 2020, is the other.)

Originally in 2018, the AAF struck a TV deal with CBS Sports, with CBS airing two games in the opening week and CBS Sports Network having a game of the week on Sunday.  Then in January 2019, additional deals were cut with Turner Sports (one regular-season and one playoff game on TNT, others streamed on B/R Live with local station availability; Saturday afternoons except for first and last weeks) and with NFL Network (Saturday and Sunday nights).
